The Festival "The Melodies of the Arctic"

5 october - 4 november, 2014, Murmansk


The traditional festival "The Melodies of the Arctic" opens on October 5, 2014 by the concert of "Brass Quintet" from Mariynsky Theatre.

Within the framework of the festival the concert of the choir of Smolny Cathedral will take place featuirng concert performance of Sergey Rachmaninoff opera "Aleko."

Murmansk Philharmonic Orchestra will take part in the concert that will be held on November 2 at Philharmonic Hall. The Honoured Artist of Russian Federation Vladimir Begletsov will be the conductor.

The festival will end on November 4 by the concert of "Melody" ensemble (the founder – Georgy Garanyan) that was repeatedly coming to Murmansk for participation in jazz festivals.
